Crazy Flips 3D
Crazy Flips 3D is a free browser game about jumping off high cliffs and spinning as many flips as you can before you hit the ground. One button does everything. You hold to build the dive, then let go to bail out and try to land on your feet.
The whole game lives on timing. Land clean and you score. Land on your head and the run is over.
What is Crazy Flips 3D?
It is a physics based sports game. You control a diver who leaps from a ledge, and the ragdoll keeps rotating while it falls. Your only job is to read the spin and release at the moment that puts the feet down first. Get it right and the points add up. Get it wrong and you crumple.
How to play
Everything runs off a single input, so the skill is in the timing rather than the controls.
Desktop controls
- Hold the left mouse button to start and carry the flip
- Release the left mouse button to stop spinning and aim for a landing
Mobile controls
On phones and tablets you hold a finger on the screen instead of the mouse button. Press and hold to flip, lift off to land.
Landing the flips
The character does frontflips, backflips, and gainers depending on the jump. None of it counts unless you finish upright. A backflip that lands flat on your back scores nothing, so watch the rotation on the way down and release a little early. Higher cliffs give you more air, which means more time to rack up rotations but also more ways to mistime the finish.
Tips for a higher score
- Release a touch before the feet look perfectly down. The body keeps turning after you let go.
- Do not chase the maximum number of spins on every jump. A clean single flip beats a sloppy triple that lands wrong.
- Learn the rhythm of one cliff before moving on. The timing window is consistent once you feel it.
- Watch the shadow or the ground as a cue for how much height is left.
What makes it hard
The difficulty comes from one button doing two jobs. The same hold that powers the flip is the thing you have to release at exactly the right frame. There is no steering and no second chance mid air, so a run is really a string of single decisions made under a shrinking clock.
