Slice Master

Slice Master is a casual one-button game about flipping a knife through anything that gets in its way. Fruit, furniture, walls, odd shapes: most of it can be cut, and the satisfying part is the sound and timing of each clean slice.

You play it free in your browser with a single tap or click. Runs are short, the controls take about two seconds to learn, and the score comes from how well you read each level.

What is Slice Master?

Slice Master is a 3D arcade game where you control a spinning knife moving forward through a stage packed with objects. One press flips the blade. The goal is to cut as much as you can without hitting the things that stop you, then land the right multiplier at the end to push your score up. You only move forward, so there is no going back to clean up what you missed.

How to play

Everything runs off one input, so the challenge is in your timing rather than your fingers.

Desktop controls

  • Left mouse button to flip the knife
  • Spacebar does the same thing if you prefer the keyboard

Mobile controls

Tap the screen to flip the knife. That is the whole control scheme, which is why it works on a phone as well as it does on a desktop.

What you can and cannot cut

Most objects on screen are fair game and add to your slicing. Two things will not cooperate.

  • The white pillar cannot be cut. Your knife sticks to it instead, and you can use it as a ledge to keep the blade off the ground.
  • The pink spiked metal shapes are too tough for the knife. Hit one and you go back to the start of the round, so lift the blade in time when they sit under a pile.

Scoring and knives

Your score builds as you slice through a level, but the big jumps come at the end. Each stage finishes with numbered targets, and the number you hit multiplies your points. Going for a x4 over a flat +60 is the kind of quick call the game keeps asking you to make.

Coins you collect go toward new gear in the shop. There are nine knives to unlock in total, along with swords and maces, and a sharper blade simply cuts through more.

Tips for a higher score

  • Always aim for the highest multiplier target you can reach at the end of a level. The final number does most of the work on your score.
  • Watch for pink spiked shapes hidden at the bottom of a stack and pull the knife up before it reaches them.
  • Treat the white pillar as a safety platform instead of a target, since it keeps the blade from dropping.
  • Spend coins on better blades early. The extra cutting power pays off across every later run.

What makes it work

The whole thing rides on one button, so anyone can pick it up, but landing a full clean run still takes real timing. The slicing has an ASMR quality that makes a good streak feel oddly relaxing, and the end-of-level math keeps your brain in it instead of letting it go fully on autopilot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Slice Master free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser with no download or sign-up.
How do I score more points?
Hit the highest numbered target at the end of each level. That number multiplies your points, so aiming high pays off more than slicing alone.
Can I cut the white pillar?
No. The white pillar cannot be sliced, but the knife sticks to it, so you can use it as a ledge to stop the blade from hitting the ground.
How many knives can I unlock?
There are nine knives to unlock, plus other gear like swords and maces. You buy them with coins earned while you play.
Can I play Slice Master on mobile?
Yes. It runs in a mobile browser, and since it uses one tap to flip the knife, it plays the same as on desktop.
Can I move backward in a level?
No. The knife only travels forward, so you cannot return to objects you already passed.
Is there a Slice Master app?
No. Slice Master is a free browser game with no official app, so play it here in the browser. Similar games that do have mobile apps include Space Waves, Rodha, Wave Dash: Geometry Arrow.
