Electron Dash
Electron Dash is a free 3D endless runner you play in the browser. You guide a single electron down an infinite tube in space, dodging holes, crumbling tiles, and lasers for as long as your reflexes hold up.
The catch is that the tube rotates with you. Move sideways and you start climbing the wall while the whole corridor spins around your character. Most runs come down to how well you read that rotation under pressure.
What is Electron Dash?
It is a casual arcade runner with a retro look. There is no finish line, just a start point and however long you can survive before falling into the void. You move left, right, and jump while obstacles keep coming faster the longer you last. Score climbs at roughly one point per second alive, so the goal is simply to beat your last run.
How to play
You only have three actions, and the difficulty comes from timing them while the corridor twists.
Desktop controls
- Left and right arrow keys or A and D to move
- Up arrow or W to jump
Mobile controls
The game runs on phones and tablets, so you tap to move and jump instead of using a keyboard. Touch input maps to the same three actions.
Reading the rotating tube
Moving sideways does not just slide you across a flat floor. It rotates the entire corridor, putting you on what used to be the wall. The trick is choosing which way to shift based on what is ahead, so an upcoming gap or laser lands somewhere you can avoid it.
Hazards and pickups
Collapsing floors are the main threat. Panels drop away with little warning, and because everything is rotating in 3D it is easy to lose track of where you actually are. Watch your character's shadow to stay oriented. Lasers appear along the corridor and end a run instantly, so look ahead rather than at your feet.
Heart pickups are scattered through the tube. Each one gives an extra life and respawns you near the spot where you died, so grabbing them can stretch a run a long way. When you die you turn into a floating invincible robot for a moment before respawning, and if you time it you can jump off that spawn point early to skip ahead.
Tips for a longer run
- Keep your eyes on the shadow under your electron to know your real position on the rotating floor
- The pace increases as you go, so do not settle into a rhythm and assume it will hold
- Pick up every heart you can reach, since the extra lives and close respawns matter more than a few extra points
- Decide which way to rotate early when you see a gap or laser, not at the last second
What makes it hard
The rotation is the whole game. On a flat runner you only track one plane, but here a sideways move changes which surface counts as the floor. Pair that with floors that vanish without warning and a speed that keeps creeping up, and a clean run takes real attention. That is also why beating your own best feels earned.
