Flappy Dunk
Flappy Dunk is a casual basketball game you play with a single tap. Click to flick the ball upward, line it up with the next hoop, and keep the streak going as long as you can.
It is free to play in your browser, no download needed. The controls take about two seconds to learn. Stringing together a long run is the part that keeps pulling you back.
What is Flappy Dunk?
Flappy Dunk is an arcade game built around one mechanic: tapping to send a basketball through hoops. Each tap gives the ball a little lift, and gravity does the rest. You chain hoop after hoop, the angles get trickier as you go, and one missed shot ends the run. Clear hoops to score points and unlock new balls along the way.
How to play
You only need one input. Tap or click at the right moment to push the ball toward the next hoop.
Desktop controls
- Left mouse button to flick the ball upward
- Time each click so the ball drops cleanly through the hoop
Mobile controls
- Tap anywhere on the screen to launch the ball
- The game is built for touch, so it plays the same on a phone as it does with a mouse
Reading the bounce
The ball is a physics object, so it does not just teleport between hoops. It arcs, falls, and bounces off the rim if your timing is off. Watching how it reacts to each tap matters more than tapping fast. A late click sends it short, an early one overshoots.
Scoring and balls
Every hoop you clear adds to your score, and the count resets the moment you miss. The longer your run, the higher the number. Hitting milestones unlocks new balls, which are cosmetic swaps rather than gameplay changes, so chasing them gives you a second reason to push past your last record.
Tips for a higher score
- Tap in short, controlled bursts instead of mashing. The ball gains height fast.
- Aim for the center of the hoop, not the rim. A clean drop keeps your angle steady for the next one.
- Let the ball fall a little before correcting. Reacting too early is the most common way to overshoot.
- Once you have a rhythm, do not change it. Most runs end when a player panics and double taps.
What makes it hard
The rule is simple, but the margin for error shrinks as you go. Hoops sit at sharper angles deeper into a run, and the same tap that worked five hoops ago now sends you wide. There is no save point, so a run that took a minute to build can end in a single bad click. That tension between an easy control and an unforgiving miss is the whole appeal.
